Bluetti AC180 vs Goal Zero Yeti 1000X

Side-by-side on the specs that decide it — surge, capacity, runtime and price.

Both models' specs verified against manufacturer listings · Last updated

The short answer

Bluetti AC180 costs $400 less. Whether that gap is worth closing depends on what you need to run.

⚠️ Before you buy

The Goal Zero Yeti 1000X is poor value on paper: 0.82 Wh per dollar versus 1.44 for the Bluetti AC180. Only worth it if you specifically need its higher output or 240V capability — otherwise you're paying a large premium per watt-hour.

Bluetti AC180

A solid mid-size unit that competes on price rather than any standout spec. 1152Wh is a useful step above the 1kWh crowd.

Best for: Buyers who catch it on sale and want slightly more than 1kWh.

Where it falls short:

  • 37.4 lb is heavy for its capacity
  • 2700W surge is mid-pack
  • Not expandable
Goal Zero Yeti 1000X

The older X-series 1kWh. Rugged and expandable, but its Li-ion cells and 2-year warranty look dated next to the LiFePO4 6th-gen Yeti 1000.

Best for: Only at a discount against the newer LiFePO4 Yeti 1000.

Where it falls short:

  • NMC — ~500 cycles vs 4,000 for the new Yeti 1000
  • 2-year warranty
