Anker 555 PowerHouse vs Goal Zero Yeti 1000X

Side-by-side on the specs that decide it — surge, capacity, runtime and price.

Both models' specs verified against manufacturer listings · Last updated

The short answer

Anker 555 PowerHouse costs $500 less. Whether that gap is worth closing depends on what you need to run.

⚠️ Before you buy

The Goal Zero Yeti 1000X is poor value on paper: 0.82 Wh per dollar versus 1.46 for the Anker 555 PowerHouse. Only worth it if you specifically need its higher output or 240V capability — otherwise you're paying a large premium per watt-hour.

Anker 555 PowerHouse

A 1kWh unit whose 1,000W output and slow charging show its age — the newer, cheaper Anker C1000 beats it on nearly every axis.

Best for: Only worth it steeply discounted against the C1000.

Where it falls short:

  • 1,500W surge is low
  • 200W solar input and a slow 138-minute recharge
Goal Zero Yeti 1000X

The older X-series 1kWh. Rugged and expandable, but its Li-ion cells and 2-year warranty look dated next to the LiFePO4 6th-gen Yeti 1000.

Best for: Only at a discount against the newer LiFePO4 Yeti 1000.

Where it falls short:

  • NMC — ~500 cycles vs 4,000 for the new Yeti 1000
  • 2-year warranty
