Goal Zero Yeti 1500X vs Growatt INFINITY 1500

Side-by-side on the specs that decide it — surge, capacity, runtime and price.

Both models' specs verified against manufacturer listings · Last updated

The short answer

Growatt INFINITY 1500 costs $900 less. Whether that gap is worth closing depends on what you need to run.

⚠️ Before you buy

The Goal Zero Yeti 1500X is poor value on paper: 0.76 Wh per dollar versus 1.38 for the Growatt INFINITY 1500. Only worth it if you specifically need its higher output or 240V capability — otherwise you're paying a large premium per watt-hour.

Goal Zero Yeti 1500X

The previous-generation flagship. Its NMC battery is the catch — far fewer cycles than the LiFePO4 units now around it, including its own replacement.

Best for: Only at a steep discount against the newer LiFePO4 Yeti 1500.

Where it falls short:

  • NMC chemistry — roughly 500 cycles vs 4,000 for the new 1500
  • 180-minute recharge is slow
  • Only a 2-year warranty
Growatt INFINITY 1500

A capable mid-size that flies under the radar. Solid 2,000W output and fast charging, let down mainly by a shorter warranty than the big brands.

Best for: Value hunters who want 1.5kWh and don't need the longest warranty.

Where it falls short:

  • 3,000W surge is modest for the output
  • 3-year warranty vs 5 from the majors
