EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus vs Goal Zero Yeti 1500X

Side-by-side on the specs that decide it — surge, capacity, runtime and price.

Both models' specs verified against manufacturer listings · Last updated

The short answer

These two cost the same, so the decision comes down to what you're powering.

⚠️ Before you buy

If you plan to cycle the battery daily, think twice about the Goal Zero Yeti 1500X. Its NMC cells are rated for 500 cycles against the LiFePO4 rival's longer life — over years of regular use that's the more expensive unit, whatever the sticker says.

EcoFlow DELTA 3 Ultra Plus

The Ultra's solar problem solved: same everything, but 1600W of PV input instead of 800W. That doubles your off-grid refill speed for $200.

Best for: Off-grid cabins and van builds that actually recharge from panels.

Where it falls short:

  • $1999 approaches DELTA Pro 3 pricing
  • 85.5 lb
Goal Zero Yeti 1500X

The previous-generation flagship. Its NMC battery is the catch — far fewer cycles than the LiFePO4 units now around it, including its own replacement.

Best for: Only at a steep discount against the newer LiFePO4 Yeti 1500.

Where it falls short:

  • NMC chemistry — roughly 500 cycles vs 4,000 for the new 1500
  • 180-minute recharge is slow
  • Only a 2-year warranty
