EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max vs Goal Zero Yeti 1000X
Side-by-side on the specs that decide it — surge, capacity, runtime and price.
Both models' specs verified against manufacturer listings · Last updated
The short answer
Goal Zero Yeti 1000X costs $400 less. Whether that gap is worth closing depends on what you need to run.
- EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max holds 108% more energy (2048Wh vs 983Wh), so it runs the same load proportionally longer.
- EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max has 1800W more surge headroom (4800W vs 3000W) — that decides whether a fridge, pump or AC compressor will actually start.
- Goal Zero Yeti 1000X is 18.3 lb lighter (31.68 lb vs 50 lb).
- EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max uses LiFePO4 while the other uses NMC — roughly double the usable cycle life.
- EcoFlow DELTA 2 Max is rated for 3,000 cycles vs 500 — meaningful if you cycle it daily.
If you plan to cycle the battery daily, think twice about the Goal Zero Yeti 1000X. Its NMC cells are rated for 500 cycles against the LiFePO4 rival's longer life — over years of regular use that's the more expensive unit, whatever the sticker says.
The surge sleeper. At 4800W it starts loads that stations twice its price can't — and most spec sheets bury that number behind the X-Boost figure.
Best for: Home backup where something with a compressor — fridge, freezer, window AC — has to start reliably.
Where it falls short:
- 50 lb is heavy for its capacity
- Marketing leads with the 3400W X-Boost number, which understates it
The older X-series 1kWh. Rugged and expandable, but its Li-ion cells and 2-year warranty look dated next to the LiFePO4 6th-gen Yeti 1000.
Best for: Only at a discount against the newer LiFePO4 Yeti 1000.
Where it falls short:
- NMC — ~500 cycles vs 4,000 for the new Yeti 1000
- 2-year warranty
